Congrats on the amp. Is that one of those Princeton width heads? Don't know about this model. Looks like a blackface like front end so, maybe closest to what he calls a "BLackLoop"? Likely a one off Henry built for someone with something particular in mind. Should have a schematic pasted inside the cab, if noone has messed with it. I sent him this link so he might chime in or contact you with more info.
I just took delivery on a 2 x 10 Blues Machine Tremolo combo. 2 x KT66, tweed-like front end with bias tremolo. I wanted a little Vibrolux killer. This thing is damn fun - I'm sure that one is, too.
Yep. I pretty much slowed/stopped building amps and just every now and then ask Henry - "can you build me something like this?" The two fellows he has building for him now do immaculate work. Judging from those gut shots, Henry built yours. He'll be the first to say Keith & Mikey are a bit more meticulous. Like so:
This amp is super tight. There isn't room to do even a little thing to.
Redplates all seem to share a bit of magic. Clean sustain into crying fundamental. Any gain setting gives another useful sound. Honestly the best amps I have ever played. I need something more like the Astro. That amp is amazing like no other. Wow!
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.
By far for me, too. The Dusts are my favorites. I have a 4 x 6V6 Cosmic and a 4 x 6L6 Magic Dust. I like the tweed style V1. I am spoiled rotten - I really didn't need this new one but, wanted it and like supporting a good friend. He won't be up for awhile 'cause I think he likes working 'til the wee hours of the morning. Hopefully he'll chime in on your stray.....
I vistied Henry at his house and decided I better get one of his amps before he really takes off. Well he took off alright new building, employees and great amps.
Here is my custom Black Verb loop.

This model was a special build for Georgia Music Warehouse. The OD is really a D style HRM with a single tone control instead of the t,m,b trimmers.
The Blackface front end does have a couple of limitations, no mode switch to change mid cap values, no mid boost on the footswitch etc. etc. I thought the 2 amps we built like this sounded really good though and would satisfy the SRV wannabees that GMW was targeting. The other one is in my original home town of Woodbine IA being played by a local there. This amp's OD channel was the inspiration for the Tweed/OD section in the CDS2 model. I clip lead connected a guitar to the input of this OD section and said "wow that would almost work for a Tweed channel" A few value changes and relays later and the CDS2 was born. BTW that amp was built by Alex (guitarist in Black Oak Arkansas after Shawn Lane). He no longer builds amps for us but still works at the shop doing preassembly. I have attached the layout.

That Astrodust is something else.
Hands down the best & most versatile amp I've come across - by far
Respect to Henry & his team.
I wants one.
Anybody wanna buy a couple of grandkids ?
