I can't always tell whether it's Duane or Eric playing, but I suspect that Eric let Duane do most of the solos with Derek & the Dominoes.
Seems not so much.
I just got on a D&D kick too...since I discovered this older thread. Whitlock enters part-way through, meets an editor, and ends up w/ a book. http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/t ... ad.160164/
I love Peace On My Mind. We have been playing it for the past few years. The other day, my drummer says "I hate that song." Of course, he won't put on a ching ring or use an egg shaker or do anything creative. Just sits there bored playing the rim. Totally effed the whole thing for me. Now I can hardly look at him.
I read an interview with Robben where he talked about that red 335. He said it has the unusual feature of starting to feedback and then stopping on its own. You can really hear it in that utube vid.
Well technically my boss running his mouth...but in the spirit of this thread Grand Funk Railroad's Survival on the way into work this morning. Because of my long drive I unfortunately got to listen to the whole darn thing
For the ride home, Phish Live at Brooklyn, Disc 1 I think should do it.
Ian used to be a presence to be reckoned with at the old Steinberg Cubase users forum. He used the moniker Azlbrax. I enjoyed reading him when he participated there. But that ended years ago. Last I heard, he lives in Ocala Florida and still has a hand in audio/studio work.
