IF Tim Hortons is all over the US and Canada, Maybe you can relate to this.

After calculating all the money I've spent on Tim Hortons in the past 2 year's I figured I could've bought a small condo ( or if it wasn't for my pesky girlfriend maybe a dumble and/or a bunch of clones LOL ) I just can't help it, I love their coffee!!

I need a Hortons hotline

Anyone else have this problem

I used to be hooked. Well, maybe still am. I still am a coffee hound.

There are three Timmy's here in my town. There is absolutely no substitute, IMO, for their best cup-o-joe. The problem here is that they're not that consistent. Their best brew only seems to happen about one time in 20 cups. I don't know how they screw it up - they use filtered water, pre-measured coffee, and the same machines every time.

Buy a decent coffee maker, some good rich cream, and your favorite coffee grounds and brew at home. Oh, and of course - with the money you save, buy more amps/more parts/more beer.

At $1.65 (CDN) a cup, you'll be well able to afford it!

I agree. I think its like musicians,
the person doing the brewing must have magic hands LOL. I have
the same problem In Buffalo NY, one cup tastes different then the
next. And I seem to drink more when I have a Rec. Session. I have
one like every 1/2 mile per 5 miles(Its ridiculous).

I tried the whole "brew @ home thing" never worked out. I have
the bomb-digit-y coffee maker,grounds,and creamer's and I still
cant ever make it taste the same.



Also,I'm a contractor and have known a few guys that have built them. They must be built within 3 months from the ground up (they will not use existing structure for their buildings). In some cases if the Build By Date is not satified they will scrap the structure completely and call it " Loss of substantial buisiness "

Hmmmm, haven't ever heard of Horton's.

Over here on the left coast Starbucks pretty much reigns supreme although I think it is because of marketing and of course having one on every street corner hasn't hurt them.
It's not like they use the best beans in the world.

I kind of thought this recession would have really hurt them because laid off workers probably don't plunk down $4.50 for a Cafe Latte.

My wife and I enjoy good coffee. We have a friend that gets this Ethiopian dark roast, (actually he roasts it himself so it is fresh) it is really good.
Seems to be a little lower in acid so you don't feel like you're going to get heartburn from it. A real full flavored dark roast.
I'm not a real connoisseur, since I like sugar and creamer with it, but it does taste oh so good.

Yeah I got a few Starbucks around me, they have good coffee. I dig some of their organic blends. The only thing is their coffee is bu cu expensive (like $5.00 for a Medium ).

The Starbucks I've been to have been good in terms of tea, but a lot of the smaller coffee stands (as in a tiny trailer on the sidewalk) tend to have pretty good coffee (I've been told), and yet they have tea leaves that taste like the man just poured dirt in instead.

Timmy's are all over the place here. I used to work around the corner from one. It was a really stressful job. People in the office used to take turns doing coffee runs. 3-4 cups a day was the norm.

Here in Cambridge/Kitchener there's a Hortons every three blocks. My wife work at one for a while...you would not beleive the sales they do in one day....buy a franchise and your a millionair in a year....if not sooner.

Back in the severties I remember my dad taking us to the very first Hortons for a doughnut every weekend...been going to horton for over 35 years now....imagine the gear I could buy if I just put that money in a piggy bank.....
