I certainly don't miss the pop star singers and song writers, and it is refreshing to see Carlos in a simple band format. Unfortunately, the song wasn't much to write home about. His playing was typical Carlos until near the end of the solo, right before the keyboard break. At that point he started doing some silly shit that is totally not characteristic of Carlos. Whatever.

I don't know Steve, I've seen Carlos do that silly shit before. I like it much better when he plays instead of making noises.

He's got a good amp, unique hands and arrangement style. But someone please tell him to get another guitar, the prs ain't him. And the video makes him as glam as Charlie Parker, sans licks. Should have featured the keys, the guy can play. Dennis is killin it,

I liked Santana's early stuff.

The only thing I even halfway liked on that song was the keyboard solo.

Look up the tabs for Badge, but drink 2 bottles of wine and snort 10 lines of coke before you try playing it.

Considering it's a "Signature Santana" PRS guitar built to his exact specifications makes it hard to grasp your logic.

Carlos has left Hollywood and "pop culture" mess with his head. That and old age are not fairing well for one of my biggest guitar influences. It's hard to take.

I'm just used to some real human gtr tone, not the prs homogenized sound. It is real difficult
getting a personal tone out of one, jus sayin

Bless you. Time isn't going to treat most of us any better than that.

Most of my heroes are better off in memories.

Peace
