How to post a track off a CD

Post by Big Jim »

Hi folks,
I tried to post a track I saved to a music file off a CD. I got a message "no post mode selected". Anyone willing to help a moderately computer challenged guy out?

You can add an attachment up to 10 meg.

Down below the message window find 'filename' and hit browse to the right of it. Search for your file and select it.

What format are you trying to post?

A wma file will be pretty large.

Maybe convert it to a good quality mp3? (I know oxymoron)

Don't let that smoke out!

I think thats exactly what the problem is. The file is probably too big. Sounds like a job for one of my teenagers. Thanks

If you can't get it under 10 megs it may be easier to make an account at a file server like Soundcloud and post a link. Here's a link to soundcloud. http://soundcloud.com/

Thanks Chris,
I appreciate the help. Soundcloud was a breeze. I posted the Allman Brothers track over on the EJ thread. It's a long song (go figure), but Trucks' playing is monumental in my mind....the guy knows how to build a solo.
