Are 65 Amps still in business?

Post by Mark »

Hi

I was doing a search for 65 amps to see if they had something new but I couldn't find their website?

Anyone know what has happened to them and their website?
Yours Sincerely

I understand through the grapevine that 65 Amps was bought by BAD, then the brand was "parked", or basically put on hold.

Thanks for the reply, that does seem like strange thing to do, but I suppose there is some logic there.
So Dan Boul is no longer involved with 65 Amp I assume?

My understanding (from TGP) is that 65 was going to contract with Mojotone to build a few models. This was supposedly mentioned a while back by 65 (or somebody associated with 65) on facebook.

So Mojotone was to build a couple of 65 Amps models?

I suppose 65 Amps needed models that directly competed with the many Chinese made amps out there.

That was my understanding....contract build along the lines of what BAD is doing.

I just didn't have the time to watch 70 minutes of video to get the information. Can you summarize it for us so that we're not all enslaved by youtube?

Dan has been posting youtube and social media video chats in which he has been showing a "new 65 amps prototype", doing playing demos and taking questions from the audience.
I don't know exactly what 65 amps is or will be at this point. They were indeed bought by BAD (not sure of the actual/financial arrangement), but it appears Dan packed up his brand back.
