They haven't been cool since the seventies. Or whenever they thought diode distortion in a tube amp was a good idea. Let's make an amp sound like a cheap pedal!

Thank goodness. It was a false alarm. Everything is fine.

Re: Big news
I wasn't very clear. slash is endorsing magnatone amps also. By all accounts the magnatones are very good but they're expensive.WhopperPlate wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 4:26 pm Aren’t we in an amp builders forum ? The Magnatone M80 looks and sounds like a super versatile machine. I'd love to now what's under the hood.
Just plug it in, man.
Re: Big news
I couldn't find any pics of the m80 but I found this of the stereo twilighter. Looks well built and easy to service at least tge power tubes, jacks and pots are chassis mounted.

Re: Big news
Did they record this with a lapel mic or something? I get similar tone when I plug an overdrive pedal into a hi-fi stereo

Re: Big news
I liked the other dude playing better out of the other amp. Fortus was just a bit forward and aggressive on the upper range , but I hear and like the 3d thing
