Vactrols, LDRs, Cadmium Sulfide (CdS)

Chase Bliss are discontinuing five pedals in the EEA because of a lapsed exemption on Cadmium Sulfide in LDRs (Vactrols if you are a Marshall dude) These find their way into all kinds of products so I wanted to bring this to your attention in case you are anxious about supply issues.

The story is that the normally exempt LDRs in audio goods has lapsed and Chase Bliss are buying back stock from the European/UK sellers to resell on the US market. The exemption on CdS in audio goods has lapsed before, but it was restored because no suitable alternative was found. The same may happen again, or maybe Chase Bliss know something we don't.
