Interesting Amplifiers 2024

Post by Reeltarded »

Bogners sound like mud. Not the Helios. It doesn't sustain like a good amp, but it sounds like one.

Splawn. The happiest a hateful attitude can be. Why these aren't the most popular amps in the World I will never know.

All Metros sound like one Marshall I have never heard.

Gibson did Gibson things when it reissued the MkIIC. They will release a new version each year claiming it is closer than the one before.

Fender. They bought IK so they could capture one Deluxe reverb and sell it in a 10lb box 1,000,000 times.

Randall went on to continue making fairly inexpensive amps that sound like angry Marshalls until that became less popular, then they added a working bass control.

Yamaha. What? The? Fuck? Is? That? Thing?

Boss still makes several lines that don't sound anything like the faceplate, but they are all very good and fun to play. They make the Cube 150 now.. (katana)

Marshall. Ok. Now I am confused.

Meanwhile: In ear monitoring turned every touring band into a group of karaoke presenters.

That is very kind of you to say. I really enjoy writing but I have hardly done it in English for a long time and that makes it more fun.

And a happy new year to you and your's.

These new amps from Victory caught my eye the other day.

Never played through a Victory but they've always intrigued me. They have Marshall style, Vox style and their own style. I don't know why they're not more popular, each model has a variety of options and they don't go over the top on features.

Ok I've just seen the price tag, that's why they're not more popular. Not really in everyone's budget.

Ha! Your descriptions remind me of why I started building amps. In a nutshell - If I am going to spend too much on something I'm not happy with, at least I can learn something from it.

Most of these companies would not exist without set artificial price points.
