$70 20 years ago when I got mine from there, alas no more.

And I still think bucking transformer, as it's cheap, much lighter, and if a combo you can bolt it out of the way into the cab bottom.

Thanks, guys.

I have 1950s & 1960s vintage Fender amps
and will try to get something more reliable
than low-end products. Several are in the $200-$300
range with manual variable voltage regulation and
with good meters to see what output is actually
going into an amp's chassis.

Might even get a thirty pound one for a bit more
to permanently sit in my music room for all my amps
and electronic equipment.

Man, one cap job or a set of replaced tubes will pay for good variacs.
