Just wondering if anyone has the schematic for this amp yet?
It would be interesting to see what modifications Fender have done.

To summarize, Fender did what we've all been doing to the 5e3 for years. Good job, Fender!

Hmmm, I thought it would have a built in stereo echo.

Re: The Edge Deluxe.
The coupling caps in the power section have been reduced to 0.022uF to avoid the flab. Special tapers were used for the Volume pots. Coupling caps in the preamp are still 0.1uF (presumably to keep some bass at low settings of Nor. and Bright Vol, given how they are wired).

Thanks for the info guys
The Rob Robinettes website is very investing reading.

Re: The Edge Deluxe.
One year after building my 5e3 I finally bit the bullet and have replaced the 2 x 0.1uF coupling caps between PI and power tubes with 0.022uF ones just like in the Edge 5e3.
I like it a lot. It's subtle, but overall the amp sounds sweeter and can be pushed harder without that deep bass wearing you down.
Before doing this mod I modelled this in LTSpice and noted that it cuts gain by about 5dB (max) at 25Hz when measured at the speaker. It has no effect above 75Hz. The more traditional coupling cap mod (on signal leaving V1A and B) does a lot less, at least in the model, as that shows as about a 1dB bass cut at 25Hz at the speaker.
