The 10K-L bias pot on my Vibroverb project amp is maxed out and I am not able to increase bias any higher than about 34.5 mA (I'm targeting about 45.2mA). Tubes are new. Voltages (as follows) appear to be in the ballpark vs schematic:
B+1 472v
B+2 468v
B+3 457v
B+4 419v
GZ34S b+ DC out 360v
6L6GC plate 466v
Bias voltage at pot lug 2 is -50.4v
Resistance across the connected pot at idle is 8.7k
I could use a tip or two please on what to look at next as I'm a little stumped.
Thanks for your time

Re: Vibroverb clone bias pot maxed out
Replace the 470Ω 1W bias range resistor with a 1K 1W resistor. This will allow you to adjust the bias hotter. You may have to bump the 1K value up/down to find your ideal bias range.
Re: Vibroverb clone bias pot maxed out
Thank you. I'll give it a shot tonight.

Mains transformer details, spec?
I don't understand how the voltage at the rectifier can be 360V when the other voltages are much higher?

Re: Vibroverb clone bias pot maxed out
Probably a STBY switch and no filter caps connected to rectifier would produce that 360V reading.

Apologize for the delay. I posted this in the morning at my day job and all my docs were at home. Attached is Mercury Mag Power Trans pwr schematic and Fender schematic I used.
I also incorrectly called the 360vac primary out as B+ dc out.
The 1K resistor substitution worked for me.
I'm a new participant here and a chemical engineer and circuits in college were never a strong point for me so really appreciate this resource as I continue to learn.
