I still love my Marshalls but to get my sound out of Marshalls, it takes at least two full 100 watt stacks
even better three stacks. I broke my neck in a 4 wheeler accident I just can't haul them and stage
space is a issue. 98 pounds per speaker cabinet x six then the heads in flight cases 100+ pounds each.
Not to mention my EFX rack peddle board and amp switcher and the Marshall power Attenuators.
Using my #183 Dumble build I have a bright switch
250pf and 560pf and off with a C1998 OPT 1968, custom wound PT with a C1999 choke with pre amp
boost and overdrive. At 250pf bright it nails Jimmy Page and at 560pf Jimmi Hendrix, AC/ DC and EVH.
And using a pre amp in the EFX loop it does it all. Then the crown jewel is the Dumble Generation 4
classic tone stack with a amp switcher . Speakers used EVM12L x 2 in a Mesa slant cabinet for #183 amp
And the generation 4 Classic a single EVM12S in a Combo cabinet it's 3-D with harmonics out of this
world. In My Dumble builds I use only NOS parts from the 1960's and 1970's My last ODS build cost
$3900.00 in parts and to obtain the parts it takes a year or two. I have been working on a Steel String
Singer for the last three years I'm close on the parts. Same issue with building a exact Marshall clone
to get all the NOS parts it takes' time and money. It's all fun. The price of NOS XF2 Mullards' Quad
Or GEC KT77 Quad makes me sick.

This is a travesty against all that is good. You should send them all to me to be played regularly.
