Modded 2204 Type Build

This is yet another 2204 type build I've done.

90's voiced 2204 circuit, EL34 x 2---- also boosted by a Rat pedal for this vid to get the driven tone used by local Grindcore players------these young players are the only ones who seem to want to buy amps from me anymore, so these are the types of amps I've been building.

Stock 50 Watt Marshall replacement OT from CE Dist:

https://www.cedist.com/products/transfo ... utput-50-w

Lower B+ and greater current capacity (250mA) PT from Edcor.

https://www.edcorusa.com/xpwr072

My friend Irving made this vid in my shop with a Drum/Bass backing track.

I've built many 50, 100, and 150 watt heads that get this type of tone without any boost pedals but Irving did this vid with that particular 2204-ish build and a Rat.

Yes, CE Distribution is the wholesale part of the company that also includes AES.

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

The amp will definitely work for the more overly distorted fans out there with that Rat pedal in line.

Sounds good.

Irving did another test vid of the guitar straight into the amp (and posted to YT):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXJPyua5Mps

He realizes that his Grindcore playing style may not appeal to everyone so he's getting some of his shredder playing friends to come over and make more vids soon.

But you can see what the bare amp sounds like in this test vid.

There are also a few more, different amps ready for vid demos.

Mostly a bit higher gain than this one.

The higher gain players are the only ones interested in buying amps from me lately------ so that's what I've been building.
