Re: 50w Hot Rod Plexi AFD #39
Thanks for taking the time. I make network diagrams at work on Visio and when I go home I don’t want draw more stuff.
So I appreciate the work your doing.
I might make a 6v6 version of this as I have extra small iron....

This is a conglomeration of Marshall 2204 power section, my own filtering section, Stephan DBM schematic and part of board layout from another TAG member I need to lookup I can't remember his name right now, but I will give him credit.
So I will probably stop calling it afd #39 and just call it Hot Rod Plexi.

The resistors on the blue switches are labeled 4k7m. Did you mean 4m7?
Re: 50w Hot Rod Plexi AFD #39
Yup 4m7, thanks I will update later today.
Re: 50w Hot Rod Plexi AFD #39
Mark, I've built 4 of these 50w HRP's and three 100w versions, they have clarity, booming bass from Resonance pot, very articulate mid range, and excellent highs.
I love the harmonics you can get which makes it hard to stop playing. I've tested the amps with a variety of guitar styles even some local country pickers.
The only videos are short ones from 3 of us on facebook. I do not know how to convert the videos to another media.

Here is a PDF version of my Hot Rod Plexi amplifier which is a lot cleaner and you can zoom in but I can't figure out how to get rid of the gray grid lines. If I delete or cut the lines it removes my droping string resistors.

Re: 50w Hot Rod Plexi AFD #39
Cbass,
Yeah I think you would have a lot of fun playing through this circuit and if you have the parts lying around why not, right!
