Correct on both questions. And since you are using DPST switches if the bat is not oriented correctly for your faceplate you will have to rotate the body of the switch to correct.Raoul Duke wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2026 6:50 pm If it’s one end and center - then it’s the same either way, correct?
And if that’s the case - there’s truly no best practice for which end is “in” and which is “out” then?

Thanks Steve!
Sorry to be so frustrating - certainly not intentional. I try to do the research on my own and just check-in here for confirmation to make sure I figured it out correctly; but these switches were driving me “batty” lol.
I was just over at your site looking at the Marshall Dual 50. A buddy of mine wants a Marshall, wants a project, and wants to have a hand in building his own amp so we may tackle that design during the winter. Seems like a great idea (both 50w voices in one amp).
BTW - your woodworking skills are pretty impressive and your ShopSmith overhaul made it look brand new again! Great stuff!

Our administrator, pompeiisneaks, built that Dual 50 several years ago. Give him a shout. He can give you the good and bad on that project. I think he has a build thread on TAG or maybe Hoffman's forum. Try searching on those forums.
Sadly, I had to give up the woodworking due to COPD. Using a proper respirator took care of the dust but restricted my breathing too much. I had fun for a year though.

Thanks for the info Steve - I’ve started watching his videos and will reach out with any questions. I’m a little ways off from it, but I like doing the research and understanding it a little better before hand.
Sorry to hear your woodworking has stopped - but now your pieces are instant limited edition collectibles, right?
Your wisdom and coaching is very much appreciated here though!
