tonal difference between 6k primaries and 8k with kt66?
Just wondering what the tonal difference are I'm using the Marstran rs ot

I do not think you will hear much difference tone wise but for the 10 watt gain in power difference with regards to where the output stage starts to clip with the 6K primary overt the 8K.
Comparing the output stage tone with two different plate voltages of lets say some 60 volts will show a greater tonal change than the 6K to 8K impedance change will by far!

The 8k is bluesier sounding and more elastic in feel.
