Jack 2000 duel super lead help

Post by Stevem »

I have one of jumper crazy gems on the bench .
Here's the issue.
Off of V2, down passed TR2 there is according to the schematic R58.

Now on the board itself it's labeled number wise for R58, yet the simble is a cap.

Anyone know whats correct?

Thanks in advance!.

TR2 is used to switch C24 bypass cap in/out. There must be a DC voltage applied to the gate of TR2 to turn on the switch. If R58 were a cap that would not work. It's obviously a mislabel on the board. Find D1 and see if there is a resistor connected to it. D1 and the real R58 may be located very near TR2. And there may not even be a R58.

Yes, that makes sense and thanks.
I also need to get TR2 ( J174 fet ) because it's missing!

This amp is going to be fun, I can tell.

Ok so getting back to this amp and still need help.
More info.
So like I stated there is no TR2, no R35 or 36 as they are jumpers.

The gate of what would be TR2 does go to the jumper that’s in place of R35.

There is also no D1 .

Thanks in advance for help.

Looks like the schematic is a different revision from the actual amp?

Yes and I have dug some to find another schematic with no good out come so far.

Maybe the fact that the front panel of the amp says jcm2000 and on the upper rear right on the very corner it says dsl100?
