Hah, Bully Z would be proud...heisthl wrote:I read somewhere that HAD only changed one cap in a Twin and called it an ODS.odourboy wrote:Very pretty indeed!
There are certainly similar elements in a Twin topology and various Dumbles designs. Have a look at the 'Dumble Files' section of the forum for layouts and schematics and you'll see how they compare and differ from a Twin.

The Allesandro looks pretty enough.BrotherInArms wrote:Hey Guys,
This is my first post here and so I figured I'd share. I found on Alessandro Amps Facebook page today that he recently built what he described as
"A Twin Reverb/Dumble inspired head I did for John Mayer with a 2x12 cabinet loaded with my custom Neo 12" speakers."

Nice looking amp indeed
Is the Dumble circuit similar to that of the Twin Reverbs? I am of starting to do some research as I am interested in building a Dumble type of amp (Ideally the SSS) in future.
I can't tell by the picture, did they use the Vox Trademark grill cloth?
Best Regards,
Steve

Fender put these knobs on the Starcaster during the 70's

I love the look of the silver amps and the silver knobs, don't get me started on the font on the silver amps!

Re: A New Dumble Inspired Alessandro Amp
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but does anyone know what's going on underneath the hood? Don't mean to start a flame, but have heard that it is extremely similar to a lone twin reverb circuit.
I think they go for $4K now.

Re: A New Dumble Inspired Alessandro Amp
I meant something like "simply a twin reverb (showman) circuit". A few component changes.
