piping question

How do you guys attach the piping on your amps. To your grill frame or the inside of the cab? With staples?

To the grill board with fairly close together staples.

Now that I've started this, where do you hide the seam where the two piping ends meet? In a corner?

Every commercial one I've ever recieved has the seem in the middle of the bottom.
