I like to ground it to the back of the pot...make sure you scrape the hole to bare metal where the pot goes through.Structo wrote:When you relocate the Bias Pot, is it OK to ground the 10K resistor off the bias pot to the PT secondary center tap ground lug?
(The one between V5 and the PT)
Or would it be better to put a ground lug on the left transformer bolt and connect the 10k resistor to that?

There are more than a few D'lite builders, I'm sure that would also want one, can you keep forum posted? I missed first go 'round.Thanks!ampdoc1 wrote:These board are the one's I designed and sold to D'Lite builders over the past few months. I am out, but will be ordering some next week for the new series of D'Lites that Moss (Brown Note) is preparing. Tese will take about two weeks to get, but I'll be sure to email you when I have more in stock. They are the three relay and PS boards.

It helps to rough up the area where you're going to solder to on the back of the pot. Use a file (or a screwdriver) to scratch up a small area, turn your soldering station to high and just apply a small drop of solder and get it to stick well before you solder the resistor leg. This method also works well to solder the shields to a pot on the shielded runs.

In relation to the original post subject: I pulled the trigger on the D'Lite 22 Super Deluxe kit today after a bit of research. This is my first build but there seems to be quite a lot of good information on the process available. So ... wish me luck on the attempt.

Re: Considering Brown Note D'Lite 22 Build
I understand that the chassis is being designed around the originals, but would it be beneficial to have a stand-up PT instead of a lay-down PT so we can use the area right above it?
Just a thought.
