Those are six-band Roederstein MK3, 1/2W, 1%, 50ppm metal-film resistors:
blue-grey-brown-red-brown-red= 68.1K
brown-green-black-black-brown-red= 150 Ohms
There is definitely not an orange band in that 150 Ohm resistor. Check the pic of the 150R resistors from the Dumble Champ further up on page 4 of this thread.
I've tried out a version of this, with good results.
Anybody have any idea of what the overdrive input network might be? I've tried the circuit below, but its not as dynamic, or gainy as I'd hoped. This is what I used, but it's only my best guess:
Clean
V1a 33k, V1b 220k/500p Grids
120k/150k Plates (210v/190v)
1.8k/5uF, 2.2k/5uF Cathodes
100k Slope
.02uF Mid, .02uF Bass, .0022uF Treble,
250k trimmer to Ground off Bass/Treble pots for Boost adjustment

The 500K drive control is on the front panel. This is the only thing I have on it.

Fantastic!! Thanks for sharing Gary, much appreciated. I owe you a beer (or a case ) Cheerz!~
The inductor is interesting, is this to effect the pot loading on the drive control?
Disregard the inductor, I guess in the amp that was evaluated there was a small coil before the input resistor, I think this was Alexander's way of having some fun. He was known to do this a lot in various amps.
An air formed coil is normally only used in RF applications.

Yeah, big-time thanks for the schem Gary!
So that's how an ODS gets an "airy tone"... an inductor from a flying fortress, no less!
Some of the things I find interesting: 22uF cathode bypass caps, R10 270K, 100K lift.

Thanks Gary! You wouldn't happen to have the layout would you? I always read that Carltons amplifier was a Megaplex? But, I am pretty sure his amp has 6l6s in it ? I wonder what amplifier type his black 90s amp was ? I believe that was his number one? He also had his tan ? I always loved his 90s tone the best!
