Where do you buy non-split double turrets? plus...
I used to buy double turrets for my boards from Mojotone, and now they only offer the style that has a split top. I want ones that are not split. Anyone have a good source?
I'm also looking for recommendations on custom chassis makers you like.
Thanks!

Something like this?
https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Ke ... 5aSg%3D%3D
They also carry something like it at www.tubesandmore.com but at 4$ for 10 it seems a bit pricey. at least at mouser the more you buy the cheaper it gets. You could buy a lifetime supply for say 1000$

Whatever turrets you select, you might want to check where they are made. Cheap imports are known to have issues with holding solder. Buyer beware.

$0.18 per is not a bad starting point. This is what I was looking for:

How do you know where these might be made?

I don't know where they get them from, but everything I've bought from antique electronics has been great stuff.
Others can maybe confirm/deny.

I noticed the gold plated turrets at AES seem to take solder much better then the non-plated (which I've had issues with in the past). I've never had issues with Keystone brand turrets though.
If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

The best ones I’ve used are made by Keystone Electronics. They have several different sizes. Look them up. I don’t remember where I bought them. I bought a bunch.

I like to get my eyelets and turrets from Hoffman Amplifiers because I know he uses what he sells and the solder sticks to his product.

That's where I went first but he doesn't sell double turrets, only single ones.
I too buy from him whenever I can for two reasons
1. excellent service - super fast shipping, great help, excellent site with outstanding documentation, etc.
2. always want to help the smaller shop over the big corporations

This has been my experience as well. When I am ordering from AES and I throw turrets in, I always pay the little extra for the gold ones.
