On a positive note, I sent a PM to someone yesterday. I received an email notification that he replied! What was once broken is now fixed? Could this be so?

It's possible, for some period of time. Until either the specific IP of the forum OR the entire hosting provider gets blacklisted again, due to no fault of anything we've done.

Because we're not using proper email protocol, and I'm not allowed to fix that.

Email broken means no new users, which sucks because my original username was removed "LeftyStrat." Xtian on FB was able to reset my new account.

I have 40 years programming experience and would be glad to help. But if the current state of this board doesn't change, I'll just clone it into a new website and include discussions of amp simulators.

Has everyone stopped contributing?

I have been approving about a dozen new members per day. I've seen a small number of these legit new users posting, and two or three spam posts, which users I quickly banned.

Unfortunately I can't use that account because I need to reset my password and email isn't working. I was told by xtian that account didn't exist.

I just updated the password for "LeftyStrat", and emailed it to the address matching the username.
