Looks great. I am always impressed by you guys that either have the blessing of a stash of these build-specific old parts, or are able to track them down.
Thanks. I wish I had a stash blessing. Many an hour spent on Ebay

Looking good... Ebay! Tell me about it. That thing is addictive.
Very nice looking build there. One of these days I will buy a "proper" chassis... Who am I kidding? I love the look of those NOS parts. I'd like to hear this one, for sure.

The small board above the PI is a high-frequency taper. HAD used it in 094 and at some point in 102 (I believe). It's just a 500K trimmer with a 0.001 to ground. You can shave some of the top-end off as these amps can be on the bright side. Mine wasn't overly bright but I wanted to see what the HF taper was about. I have it set quite low and liked the way it sounded so it stayed. 094 had a 0.02 so he was probably using it to sculpt the top-end more than just remove highs.

Thanks.
Sorry, no clips yet.

Out of curiosity alone, you may want to try a .022uF cap on the HF taper. If I recall correctly, it really changes the character of the midrange more than the top end. I remember I didn't care for it, but I think it sounded good with Strats on the 2 and 4 positions... maybe? It's been a long time.

Thanks Gil, I'll definitely give it a go. Not sure if I have enough of the trimmer engaged to make a noticeable difference to the high-end but I definitely noticed a difference in the feel. I have no explanation for this though. It also seems to want to take off. Whatever it is, I'm liking (for this week )
