Choke recommendations for Rocket
I'm having a Rocket choke wound, the only spec I see on the A0 schematic here is "15H 25mA". Any DCR recommendation? Phil at Heyboer asked me about "Dynaco c-354", but that looks incorrect.
Just plug it in, man.

Re: Choke recommendations for Rocket
The Rocket is a stripped-down AC30, so...

Re: Choke recommendations for Rocket
Although 25mA is posted on the schematic, that is too little. One of the original Rockets used a Stancor C-1002 which was 15H 75mA and 411R. This is similar to the 20H 460R Radiospares Vox AC30 chokes.

Good to know, thanks, Dave!

Re: Choke recommendations for Rocket
I've played with a couple of different chokes and always end up with the 158L.
Re: Choke recommendations for Rocket
Heyboer part number for the Rocket choke is HTS-10897: 15H, 75 mA, 400R DCR. 1-inch EI center leg, 1-inch stack--about the size of an 18-watt OT.
Just plug it in, man.

I used a Hammond 158L, sounds pretty decent. Haven't started rolling pre amp tubes yet.
