Dumble Preamp (for SE amp)
I would like to plan an SE amp using a GU50 (or 1625 as Power Tube)
Please can you point me to an ODS version that has good documentation to plagiarize the preamp schem and Layout part
There are so many versions of schematics and Layout that I'm a bit confused
Many Thanks
K

Ciao Kagliostro. This SE ODS version was a huge hit.Kagliostro wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 7:29 pm I would like to plan a SE amp using a GU50 (or 1625 as Power Tube)

Re: Dumble Preamp (for SE amp)
Thanks Guy77
Is there a version of Layout I can use
I'm interested also if it is only about the preamp or a whole amp Layout from which I can borrow the preamp layout
---
Ooops ... Sorry Reeltarded

Truly game over.

Re: Dumble Preamp (for SE amp)
Ciao Guy77
and a link to a pdf containing one other schematic
https://ampgarage.com/forum/download/file.php?id=11902
but I'm looking for a Preamp Layout
Thanks
K
Unfortunately on that page I can see only a Schematic
and a link to a pdf containing one other schematic
https://ampgarage.com/forum/download/file.php?id=11902
but I'm looking for a Preamp Layout
Thanks

Ciao Martin
Seems that something is at page 5
a Mini HRM Schem & Layout from 10thnx (I think he is Tubenit)
Thanks

Re: Dumble Preamp (for SE amp)
I'm quikly reading that thread and I've find something that is not favourable to me
https://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 09#p120509
That preamp has not enough swing for a tube as 5881 and so I think the same for the GU50 or 1625 tubes
EL84 is in the order of 11.3mA/V, 1625 is around 6mA/V and GU50 only 3-5.5mA/V
may be a 6AV6 tube is to be inserted between the Preamp and the Power Tube if the Power Tube has a "low" mA/V rate

With the efx loop(breakout jacks) return feeding directly into the power tube without an internal grid ground reference? Or am I just overly pessimistic?

Re: Dumble Preamp (for SE amp)
I agree, I'd like a grid leak resistance there too.
