Anybody know about the Triad "7926" Power Transformer features & specs?
Link to specs and features?
It does not have a bias tap while the Triad 7993 PT does have a bias tap.
Should push 40w-45w and power two dual 5Y3 2/amp rectifier tubes.
It was used by Fender on their first 1954 4x10 5D6 Bassmans.
Fender replaced the Triad "7926" PT in 1955 with the Triad "7993" PT.
Maybe installed on other Fender amp models during the 1950s?
Availability? Is it cloned/copied by another tranny mfg?
Is there a similar replacement tranny besides the Triad 7993 PT?
Thanks. Toppscore

Have been in conversations with Patrick. Mercury Magnets Triad 7993 PTPaisleyTube wrote:maybe ask Patrick @ Mercury Magnetics?
clone is their FBP-50 power transformer. Apparently it's an excellent replacement
tweed tranny and does well with both the dual 5Y3 or dual 5U4 rectifier tubes.
I have mistakenly been seeking a Triad 7993 PT for my 1954 5D6,
then realized the amp probably shipped with the Triad 7926 PT.
I've been told/read the Triad 7993 will work in my 1954 5D6
but'll not be able to use the bias tap to maintain originality.
No big deal on that part, but why not try to seek a Triad 7926 PT first?
Ever heard of the 7926 or owned on?
PLMK. Thanks.

Do you have the specs on the FBP-50?
I irritates me that Mercury doesn't post specs................

This will help:
The rectifier winding is 5 volt 4A
Bias 50V
6.3Volt winding(3 wires)7A
B+ is 375V-0-375V
Take care. Toppscore
