3rd Gen started
I've been assembling parts for a 3rd gen and finally got around to start building it. Most of the time has been spent on the chassis so far. I started with a blank chassis from tube-town and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, only complaint is the top lip folds inwards which means the chassis bolts come pretty close to the boards on the sidewalls. There is sufficient clearance but I'm going to shorten the bolts for added safety. I was lucky enough to get some columbia flexfoam coax. I know this was used in the 2nd gen amps but I'm hoping it will be fine for a 3rd gen (which HAD used Tandy coax).

I'm always amazed how you guys here build such amps (of relative complexity though!)... like me, I lace up my shoes!
Nice work !

Wow this looks great! All of the unobtanium parts. Looking forward to seeing this come together.

Re: 3rd Gen started
Hi ijedouglas,
I built six months ago a 2nd gen. but in the Hybrid version posted here in TAG by Erwin_ve. The difference between the 2nd gen and 3rd gen are a few components. It's my favorite amp out of all the ones I've built.
In comparison to the project I used 4x 6V6 with the output transformer of a VOX AC30 and a power transformer of a Fender Twin Reverb. I used the chassis kindly sent to me by Ervin_ve.....attention (I found out the hard way after I completed the Head Shell ) the original Dumble size chassis is smaller than the chassis sold by Tubetown, by very little but noticeable....
A hug

Hey Franco, thanks for the heads-up. I actually test fit this chassis in another ODS cab and noticed that its marginally larger.

Beautiful looking build this far. I love the aluminum showing through.

Very pretty. I wonder what would happen if you separated those yellow wires away from the brown ones...

Thanks Tony, I'll definitely try it but starting out as close as I can get to actual pics I have.
