Thanks Omar,
I have a bunch of amps I need to get to before I can build a *umble clone but I have a tendancy to move things up as I gain interest in something.
Now all we need to do is find someone with a real Dumble who will let us carve off all the goop to see what is really going on inside there!

Re: Sweet...
This is definitely needed considering the number of hits on the post over at the 18 watt!

Re: Sweet...
I have friends who have done just that, the available schematics are 99% correct, we should all be able to build great clones!!

So which one is considered to be closest to the real deal?
Has anyone cut open the goop and posted it's secrets? "THE GOOP"....sounds like a bad horror flick!

Re: Sweet...
Chad... where did you get the chassis? I have a late 60's bassman head i was gonna try to do this in.. i believe someone said it would work...
Re: Sweet...
Icetech, I got the chassis from someone thats a member of this forum, but I really don't want to say who . Last I knew though I don't think he has them right now. But I could be wrong though. Sorry, Chad
Re: Sweet...
Hi Guys,
I usually hang out on the 18watt forum and occasionally on ampage.
I'm 75% through building my ODS in a rough chassis for tweaking before it goes into a proper combo with EV 12" spkr.
Ive had some good help from a couple of people and I'm pretty much following the Hybrid A schem with some minor changes.
Will let you know how I get on and how my amp turns out.
Its purely for my own pleasure though. I know HAD gets some stick, but I have a lot of respect for him as the originator - why else would everybody be so keen to clone his designs ? sometimes small changes to a good design can make it great - I think thats what he did with the fender platform - taking it to a new level.
cheers

Re: Sweet...
I may do a run of chassis in the near future, without Logo's of course. They would be just like the one I posted the pictures of a while back: .1 Aluminum, welded corners, Industrial powdercoated and Industrial screen printed. I'd need a gauge of who all is interested though since I have to order them in batches of 25. All said and done the last time they were about $100 (Unless my vendors raise prices).

Re: Sweet...
I'd have to say that their nice looking chassis. Now I just have to put all the part's in mine and get this amp rockin. After that I may take another chassis in the future (Probly in a few month's).
