Have you tried this pre with a 4x KT88 or 6550 power section just for a tad more punch?

For what its worth - I've been waiting on quotes from a local sheet metal place here in pa - had them quote 100 pcs of ODS style chassis similar to ce with a few design improvements and brushed silver aluminum/clear anodize.

emailed, no reply, I guess they are outabizz..

You could remove the Dumble lettering, little TecniTool Flux off and a qtip it will be gone instantly - wont hurt the powder coating or anodize either..

The general consensus at the shop is to abandon the project and tell the customer to return the amp, this is our current plan... upon further inspection - they mounted the speaker through a plywood baffle with 10/24 machine screws- so the screw heads are behind the grill cloth, there is also loctite...
