great amps but I don't care for the phase inverter. I wonder if it would respond better with a Vox LTP?

yeah the ones from CE are terrible, I think they might be steel.

I built a 4 6v6 tweed deluxe with gibson trem circuit. Pretty rockin amp.

If running cathode bias I would recommend at least a 200mA PT

Pretty sure DR makes their own. There is another place in MI that makes strings for Throbak and a bunch of others, been around for a long time. Martin and Fender are now made in Mexico, not sure if Gibson is doing the same. Nickle Rocker 10's for me, I buy em unpack-aged by the gross. stupid cheap :D
