Raphael, how does it sound at this moment? I'd play it and see...you might think it's the best thing ever.
Then start changing things.

Re: Speaker cab with Eminence-style speaker - Should I put in recessed handles?
I have a 2x12 and I use a standard handle on the top . It's what HAD wanted I think the recessed handles are wrong for a Dumble cab IMHO...YMMV

Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout
thank you rootz, thank you all, I decided that the solution will be the classic FET board with relay switch and pedal. :D It is the simplest solution to add some overdrive to the Wonderland / JM sound. Un abbraccio Franco If you want some overdrive then I'd add the 3 way gain structure switch as we...

Rootz
Thanks for the technical explanation, that makes sense. Also it's worth reiterating the use of pedals in the loop and not just delay/reverb but volume pedal, boost, OD pedals all work really well in the loop in a different way than in front of the amp so experiment with it.

Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout
Ah so you need to use a relay then, that's what I was wondering. As regards sound, I like the FET boost circuit so I'd go with that , but the AC boost is also a nice pedal . Is it 9v? the FET has higher voltage and will probably have more headroom I'd say. A lot of 9v boost pedals have voltage doubl...

Re: AN Wonderland/JM 100w layout
it was a game changer to me
I'm interested in how you go about putting the FET in your amp as I'd like to do the same as i think it would be a great addition.
How are you going to switch it?

Re: Favourite 12" speakers?
funny, I bought an eminence 150w 12 inch speaker a while ago and I've tried it in every amp I've build and didn't like it really compared to other things. My friends Deluxe reverb blew a speaker last week and I mentioned I had a spare 12 inch driver he could try. I installed it for him before our gi...

Re: Dumbleland Overdrive Special!!!
Dumble has been known to use Peavey Iron from a Mace/Deuce 120 (4X6l6) in his Overdrive Specials. Tony Allegedly these transformers were also used in some 150w SSS according to some earlier posts here (370VAC secondary giving 500+ VDC with 2k3 Z) that exactly what I have in my JM/Wonderland build a...

This is the last moments of Geena Davis' career. ... Meh. I m not really feeling lucky. ... That was the funniest thing I've read on the internet today. Thanks. yep..I agree..... glad you're back Miles. The spider episode seems to have had no long lasting side effects to your sense of humour :) M
