Re: Princeton Dumble
That are exactly the comment and feedback I 'm looking for, thanks to all. I already have a 100w 183 dumble head clone, powered with EL34, and that's my favourite dumble tone. (built a d'lite, and a 50w 6l6 dumble...) The reason are: -I have spare power and output 6v6 transformers and I'm looking fo...

Re: Princeton Dumble
That's exactly that I want to do Martin.
But I'm asking cause I didn't find anyone who did this... perhaps it has been yet tried with bad results and that's not popular...

Princeton Dumble
Hi there! I plan to build two favourites amps in one: a Dumble ODS preamp section added to a power section of a Princeton Reverb with 6v6, bias tremolo and tube reverb. Is there anyone who did this? I found some infos about 6v6 powered Dumble, but any about a combination of ODS and princeton... Do I...

Re: Princeton Reverb AA1164 tremolo no working...
Thanks Sluckey, you point the right direction!
The cathod resistor labeled 3k3 in the package was 3M3... now everything's right.
Finally we can trust only one thing: the digital METER!... and this forum
thanks again

Hi there! I finished a princeton reverb vintage clone. It sounds very nice, evrey thing is ok except tremolo :( After two days of unsuccessful investigation, I'm asking for help. what I'v done: - double/triple checked wiring - no footswitch installed, regarding the schematic, tremolo doesn't need fo...

Re: listen to my Dumble...
Hi there! Here is my second release recorded exclusively with my Dumble Clone #183: https://adrienhusson.bandcamp.com/ https://f4.bcbits.com/img/a2295476901_10.jpg You can listen to it, and share it! This time, I used a speaker simulator (Two Notes Wall of Sound) with a reactive load DI. A question ...

Simple tube power amp... 6v6 or el84
Hi everyone!
I'd like to build a simple power amp for a friend, who uses a Mesa Studio Preamp.
I would like use two 6v6s, but looking for a layout with EL84 too...
If anyone has a layout, or a link...
Perhaps there is a thread on the site...
Thanks

Re: Dumble vs Trainwreck
I agree with him
But I think my Roland Cube Mini sounds better than my #183 dumble clone or Trainwreck amps.

Re: Replacement Transformers
It's ok
Use 1 watt resistor, carbon or metal film...
I used 47r 1w... because I had no more 100r!

Re: #183 B+....
Back from a gig...
plugged my amp elsewhere and no more hum ... first concert for my #183!
the problem is certainly bad ground or bad power in my home. I told you I had the same frequency/noise on my other amps, but not as loud...
but because of my wireless system? I will try it at home.
