Rockster KT66 schem/layout ?

Can somebody please post a link to a verified/functional Rockster scheme ? I think I might try one ๐Ÿ‘

Re: Rocket low end and midrange

Well....I tweaked the hell out of this thing and have drawn up my own opinions about this circuit: 1. IT will not and can not compete with a Plexi circuit when it comes to rock tones. The Marshall circuit delivers a much nicer rock tone IMO. That being said...the VOX tone is kinda cool for what it i...

Rocket low end and midrange

I am thinking about changing the mid cap in my Rocket build to something less baddy. .01uf or maybe .0047uf. This circuit has soooo much bottom and low mods. I want to lean it out a bit and was curious to others experimentation and findings. Also....I am using the Classic Tone transformer set speced...

Rocket preamp with Marshall 1974 PI ?

Going to experiment a bit. Going to change the PI in my Rocket built to that of the Marshall 1974x. 820R/47k.....470k loads.....01uf on the input....1uf on the out and 8.2k for the power tube grids. Should be an interesting experience. Also.....anybody else notice (besides me)the striking similariti...

Re: Adding Lar-Mar type II master volume to my Rocket

Installed the LAR-MAR PPIMV and really like it ๐Ÿ‘ I also set my signal caps to .022uf to reduce the low end a tad and dropped the input cap on the PI to .01uf to smooth Imageout the drive. This ones done folks.....sounds FANTASTIC ๐Ÿ˜

Re: Adding Lar-Mar type II master volume to my Rocket

I only have 2M resistors on hand.....NOT 2.2M but I would think it won't be an issue. WOW !.....that layout is freaking NICE ! Lots of cool mods going on ๐Ÿ‘

Adding Lar-Mar type II master volume to my Rocket

After converting my Liverpool over to a Rocket I am left with an extra hole in the front panel so I am going to add the Lar-Mar type II master volume. Since this circuit is cathode biased, are the two 2M resistors that are soldered across the 250k dual-gang pots still required ? They are there when ...

Re: Liverpool to Rocket conversion :)

Yes.....I prefer a more cleaner/jangley platform for my pedals and the Rocket seems to work better for me. A few things still left to do to this one: 1. Change the .047uf caps to .022uf to loose a little bass....these Rockets are a little too heavy in the bottom for my tastes. 2. Increase the bright...

Liverpool to Rocket conversion :)

Well....after playing and tweaking the LP build I finished up, I came to the realization that circuit is just too wild for my tastes. I just don't have much use for that much gain and temperament so I decided to covert it over to a Rocket and am MUCH happier. There is still more than enough gain to...

Re: 18W Liverpool ?

Yes....my numbers seem to be in good order. There are a few changes I am considering with this circuit to tune it more to my liking. 1. Change the input grid stops on the EL84's from 1.5k to 8.2k (this is the traditional value in the Marshall 18w and it helps control/suppress blocking distortion in ...

Re: 18W Liverpool ?

On cathode biased circuits, you don't measure plate to ground. It's measured plate to CATHODE. Just to be clear we are talking about the same thing ๐Ÿ‘
