Sweet build TM!
I like the pot labels and the heatshrink around some of the hook-up wire. Got the right glass for it too!
Is that a 130V MOV across the line there?
Also, just curious, what's your Source resistance on the FET?

Sweet build! Beautiful chassis!
Is that an EMI filter in the IEC socket? Does it curb both common and differential mode noise?

Re: Finished Dumblelator
Keep in mind that when you double the voltage, you also halve the current capacity. This is an important consideration when choosing a suitable Dumblelator PT.

Can't miss a chance to bump UHOP's build thread - and join in on the dog loving...... We added Smooshy to the herd last fall. A rescue from the humane society. She got along famously with our German Shepherd, Layla, from day one.... [img:432:576]https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_0uFLNMN12Kc/TLMD_Z...

Re: 183 Build Report
BTW, I see you have wires running across the relays, which are a source of noise. Doesn't this cause problems and tone loss? Also, how do you approach lead dress around that area with all the tone control wires running from the preamp board to the pots around the relay area? [img:1024:768]http://i2...

Re: 183 Build Report
Ultra, what is your PT? Does it get the specified 465V plate @idle? The Mag Components Twin PT only gets 440V plate @ idle in my #124. That's a significant difference and I'd like to get it right when I do my #183. Hey David, Yes, I get 462V loaded B+ from the custom wound Heyboer PT. The bias is s...
