Re: The real scoop on winged C future/availability??
You forget guitar amplifiers are not that large of a profit market for the costs of producing tubes. Tube technology outside of hifi and musical amps is pretty much extinct. Figure the average tube lasts 5years. Maybe 10 or more in an amp. That's not making a lot of need to buy / build more. Granted...

Re: What Would You Pay For Old Celestions?
You pay top dollar for individual speakers. You can still find reasonably priced speaker cabinets with 2 or 4 speakers for under a grand. Bringing the price below $250 a speaker. Craigslist .

Re: Traynor Bassmaster YBA-1A Help w/ 3 Prong Cord Plz! (pics)
Holy crap Jerry you removed the filter cap cans and mounting bracket. Those caps start shaking around from the speaker vibration and the leads short on the chassis... BOOM!!! That voltage travels to the path of least resistance. You wire up your power cord wrong and not only will you fry your amp to...

Re: $9000 diaz... what do you think?
I just saw the link... The manufacture isn't selling it..that its a third party seller. Why are we surprised that store is always over priced. They assume words like "rare" and 1 of a kind" mean $$ 1 of a kind can also mean damn that was a bad idea lets never do that again haha I was under the impre...

Re: $9000 diaz... what do you think?
I'm not sure why the wiring bothers you? Is it safe to assume you would never play a 70's fender amp? Those fenders are a cluster of wire... Yet regarded as great amps. Like the guy, hate the guy, close your eyes and play the amp if you like tone it's a good amp. If you like it enough pay $9000. Pro...

Re: Guitar "samples" for testing purposes
You are kinda in a shit spot.. You aren't using 100% professional equipment it's kind of a mix and match but it doesn't all talk. Pro audio uses interface / converters not sound cards. To keep the correct level / and signal type. You would be best off burning a cd of the media and doing as I posted ...

Re: Guitar "samples" for testing purposes
I've got the Radial X-Amp ... but, another problem ... seems like I need to boost my line output from the soundcard (Realtek HD, internal) to pro line out level, +4dB ... :( X-Amp only accept XLR line out balanced, what I need now? I've looked at several models of mixers, but I not quite sure if th...

Re: Trainwreck faceplates
If I remember correctly the archive files are in excess of 500+ images. Most have supplied the images or had an idea of what they wanted and we have assisted in picking an image that will look best.
Super fine detail tends to look like a black blob 10ft from the amp.
