Re: ODS with Deluxe Txers - 2x6V6 Problem
I did some measuring here's what I get. 6v6 plates = 448V PI = 290v V2a = 194v V2b = 200v V1a = 193v V1b = 197v PT = Hammond 290BX 330-0-330 138mA, 6.3v 3A, 5v 3A Could 138mA be to light for this cct? The PT does not get hot at all. When I run it clean and cranked there's no problem. This only happe...

ODS with Deluxe Txers - 2x6V6 Problem
I built a ODS similar to a 102 but I used Hammond Deluxe Reverb output and power transformers. I used the 5v winding for relay and indicator light. There is around 450 on the 6v6 plates and I am using JJ's. The other tubes voltages are a little higher then normal but the amp sound great. It is extre...

Re: Airbrake no sound
Looks like you are going threw the first 25ohm resistor. It should be parallel to the signal not series. Check your layout again...

-1 on the MOD Jensen. Just my opinion...one of the worst speakers I ever heard....real harsh, very bright. I tried it in a couple old Champs...sold it for $20 a month ago.

10thTx wrote:Maybe something like this? Both relays switched simultaneously allow a strong signal to enter the OD channel?....I lift the clean volume with a relay when I switch to OD.
With respect, 10thtx

Re: #183 ways to get more gain?
would default to turning the preamp volume (V1A, if you would) all the way up Gil Good idea you could alter the ground on the input pot.. Ground it in clean mode and lift it (whatever value sounds good in OD) put it on a relay that activates when you go to OD. :D Tony This what I have been doing......

Re: need more bass
the bass pot is 500k. I removed the cap across the bass pot and there was no change. I put a temporary switch in there to switch between cap and no cap but could not hear any difference. The amp is a two 6L6 amp and the tone stack is: Bass: 500k/.1uF, Mid is 100K/.047uF, treble is: 250K/330pF. Like ...

need more bass
I have a high plate non-hrm. It lacks bass. I have been playing with it for a while now and can't get any bottom end. I have increased the clean channel bi-pass cap's from 5uF to 25uF and there is no difference. I bi-passed the tone stack but nothing o bass is added just volume. What could the probl...

Re: Airbrake Enclosure Alternative
here is my Ammo box....it has a few stickers on it....I added a relay to switch between the two knobs(yellow chicken head and silver knob)...they are in parallel...this way I can set up a 'boost' and still have great tone. The 1/4" jack on the front is for a foot switch.

Re: Airbrake Enclosure Alternative
i will try to get a couple picks up soon. I also added a relay so I can switch between two different levels....kinda like a boost box. I did not drill vent holes, it stays cool as is.
