Agree If you can post pics of the inside we can help to verify it's authenticity here.

(This shouldn't hurt the resale value of the amp btw.)

Re: Draloric Resistors - Before and After - Video Demo

Thanks, Tony! I played it this weekend on a decent sounding stage and with overdrive+pab the tone is definitely a bit smoother in the high mids... less congested if that makes sense Yes that makes perfect sense. Thanks! and enjoy the amp BTW.. Did Jelle tell you that the type/brand of resistor was ...

Re: Draloric Resistors - Before and After - Video Demo

Chris Cool video! Enjoyed it :D Here is my question? Can you tell difference in the character of the breakup or texture and harmonic structure (2nd or 3rd order) and does it sound more musical /smoother to you or is it the same? (Obviously to get the full effect the amp should be at stage volume in ...

Re: Dumble 201

Would this be a bluesmaster? Is it possible to tell? A quick and dirty way to tell is? the cap across the bass pot. If it's not there then it's not a Skyliner it's a Bluesmaster stack  ixnvvzvqjl7kili0rorv.jpg 189 Ripper and Tremonti 221 uses the same CGW-MF 22.1K RN65C on V-1 Picture 112.jpg...

This Odyssey has a build date of 1973 (original TVA's Caps say 72) but has 50 uF. Re: Dumble Bargain

Any idea why he would use a 3A over a 1A when they are both way over spec'd for the job at hand?

Re: Dumble Bargain

I would love to know. I have not heard a difference between 3A and 1A diodes but I can definitely hear a difference between standard (1N4007) and fast recovery diodes. I can also hear a difference in the resistors in the bias circuit so maybe HAD could hear/feel something with that diode. I highly ...

To be exact (from left to right): 2 x MIEC 200uF/300V without a visible date - 2 x TVA 20uF/500V 1975 - 1 x TVA 20uF/500V 1976
To be even more exact?
I wasn't dating the caps? I was dating the amp (using the most recent cap date as a reference)

Re: modifying Fender Bandmaster - Ultra phonix mod

I reverse engineered it, based on the photos that were posted here of an ultra phonix bandmaster
Cool! Did you already post those shots or can you post up a link of the ones you used? Would love to take a look at them.

Thanks!

Re: modifying Fender Bandmaster - Ultra phonix mod

my reference for ultraphonix mod Thanks for the reference post! Taking a look at some of these schematics you posted? some pre-date the Amp Garage?.. AFAIK their authenticity has not yet been verified through a reliable source. So do you know if these were actually used in an original Ultraphonics ...

There are quite a few different versions of the "Ultraphonix" mod. Which one did you do?

Re: My TR TS-1 is both too thick and too bright on the OD

Hi Tony, Assume cap on the ‘mid’ toggle switch? I don’t have the amp out of the chassis, but from the pics I have it’s ceramic and creamy-yellow in colour - apols I can’t be more specific just now I’m not using the mid switch as part of my base tone if that helps ? Bright cap on the input Vol looks...

Re: My TR TS-1 is both too thick and too bright on the OD

..all, long time lurker, but I think this is probably my first post, so Hi I picked up a 1st gen TR TS-1 (with the separate FET input) a few weeks ago - there's a great amp in there but I'm struggling to dial it in My understanding is that this amp is largely based on a 102 circuit (although missin...
