Re: 100W #102 clone

beautiful build Erwin! Can you be more specific to the qualities you are liking from the #102 and compare it to your popular Bluesmaster Non-HR build? I see there is no Dumbleator and others have commented the #102 is bright without it.

Re: miniHRM evolution

very nice sounds, Mat! Thanks for sharing your design with us. Are you using the PAB on the clips? You mentioned in another thread that the clean volume is too low and the OD cleans up on the guitar, so I was thinking of trying out a single channel version of this. If you are using just PAB, the des...

Nice build, Mark! You've done several of these now, haven't you?

PM sent regarding my own Komet 60 project.

Re: first build for Peavey Encore 65?

Wow, Plexi, Thanks so much for the background on the JB100. I had seen in interviews with Joe that it had a 'Dumble Vibe'. It's a fantastic sounding amp, regardless of architecture. I've always thought Joe's best tones have been using the JB100 with his Jubilee. I was leaning more towards Non-HRM, b...

Re: first build for Peavey Encore 65?

Greg, I looked through the old 'clip reference' thread and found a couple Robben Ford YouTube clips you and Structo posted with the tones I like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcQCQetC6Oc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7OINxfKZW0&feature=related I like that they aren't as 'harsh' as most examples ...

Re: first build for Peavey Encore 65?

Greg, I do love bloom in an amp. Sounds like you get it in spades! I figured it sounds it's best at high-volume amp with that PI. Unfortunately my amp will see about 80% bedroom volume use. Probably need to stick with the regular PI, huh? Bob, Thanks for your input. Your Peavey amp builds actually i...

Re: first build for Peavey Encore 65?

Thanks Mark, interesting with the Bluesmaster PI, should break-up pretty quick!

Greg, I believe you are using a BM PI with a Skyliner pre in your amp as well (can't remember HRM or non-HRM). What is your thoughts on how it all works together?

Re: first build for Peavey Encore 65?

Thanks guys! @ Mark: that Delta Blues convert is an interesting choice. I was wondering if you could elaborate on this choice as opposed to a ODS-101? I looks like a ODS-101 amp minus the OD. Are you thinking jumpering channels or ? I would think to overdrive it, I'd have to really crank it which I ...

first build for Peavey Encore 65?

Hi all. I've been a long time lurker and have learned alot from all of you. I'm ready to try my first Dumble-style build and I am looking for opinions on what to build first. I was first drawn to these amps because of the impressive tones (bloom, definition) I hear and also that they can sound good ...
