Re: Guitar Gallery Thread! Post 'em up!

Hello -- Fine looking 335-style, which evidently you built? Recent addition of a 1948 L-48. Came lightly electrified, with semi-permanently mounted DeArmond monkeystick wired to a volume pot on the pickguard and a jack on the side of the lower bout. Removed for the moment as repairs necessary to bo...

Its Alexander Dumble as far as I know, and he owns the sole right to use the DUMBLE brand on Musical Equipment.
Reread the above.

Re: VHT D-50 Mod Journey

Hi, old timer here, I have been away for a while to focus on my business and perfecting my craft. This is the first time I have seen pics of the guts of one of these. Lots of bang for the buck in terms of work that was done to make these amps, but based on what I see, this amp does not have a chance...

Its a counterfeit amp, made in California. Its pretty easy to spot to the trained eye.

Re: Fuchs Dumble Clone

I want to add that I very much respect Andy and the business he built up. Its not a dig at him, but at the use of the Dumble name of non Dumble products.

Re: Fuchs Dumble Clone

Those were $60K+ numbers. And those customers have sufficient funds to have someone taken care of too, if they get pissed off enough. Very dumb game to play.

Re: Fuchs Dumble Clone

Hard No to building amps with Dumble's name on it if you are not Dumble. I am not OK with any of that. Why? Because I have had three instances over the years where I had to tell a customer that his precious Dumble amp that he just bought, was a fake. If you build one, its your responsibility that no...

Re: Somewhere between 102 and 183

That Matt Rae clip sounds more like how I remember playing 183, and my Alexander Dumble modded Marshall also has that vibe. Its livelier, and at low volumes, it gets fuzzy on the lows with high gain settings. But when that lead note goes....it goes!

Re: Does “sedulous intent” mean . . .

The Dumble reworked Fenders and Marshalls I have seen show that A LOT of effort was put into the amplifiers.

Please staph.
