Re: Current production Fender ‘65 Deluxe Reverb help

Yeah, you would think. This amp has one single yellow power transformer lead going to the filament contact on the tube socket. The other filament contact on the tube socket has a single grey wire going to the board. There is a blue/black lead that comes off the transformer going to the board. The ye...

Current production Fender ‘65 Deluxe Reverb help

Anybody have a schematic or any intel on the current production Fender ‘65 Deluxe Reverb? They are doing something different with the wiring of the rectifier tube and I need to fix one.
Thanks,

This is most likely Dumbleland Special #8 that was converted to a SSS.

Re: Steel String Singer #008

I think it was a Dumbleland Special. SRV might have used it on Texas Flood. Not sure about the serial #.

Re: Steel String Singer #008

This is an amp that was converted to a SSS. Jackson Brown owned it and SRV used it for a period of time.

Re: 2nd gen chassis and pcb design?

Ok the reasons I don’t like them. The contacts loosen up on the cord side and I spent a bunch of time trying to track down noises and had it turn out to be the power cord. Also if the ground contact loosens them you have a safety issue. I have had numerous pro musicians complain about the amp cord c...

Re: 2nd gen chassis and pcb design?

My vote is to have a standard d hole just like Dumble used to do. I hate the idea of those detachable cords on a guitar amp.

Have about had it with CE Distribution

I just had a very frustrating conversation with the people at CE Distribution. Apparently, the manufacturer of the orange drop capacitors and carbon film resistors is proprietary information. They said, and I quote, "if we tell you who made them then you can go somewhere else and get them fo...

Re: Dumbleator II build.

Hello, so Stephen I agree this does not fit the definition of a true stereo device. I would like to note that Dumble did not name it Stereo Dumbleator. As far as the choke, I have seen a Dumbleator II with a Triad C-3x choke and actually have an old one sitting on my bench but I do not believe that ...

Re: Dumbleator II build.

Thanks guys. For an enclosure I used the same one Dumble used made by LMB Heeger. You can still get them. https://lmbheeger.com/uni-pacuniversalpackagingsystem.aspx They are a bit pricy and for some reason they don't paint the inside of the enclosure anymore but they still are really nice.
