Thanks Dana........appriciate the kind words! I hope I didnt make it sound as if I built this myself guys..........I could never do this with my limited wood working skills,and tools. My dads neighbor built this for me. I saw some of his work while visiting one day, and I figured this would be an easy project for him. He wanted to charge me $153.70 for the parts, and the labor! I gave him $200.00, and I still feel guilty. I know you know your stuff with the cabinets Dana.......ive seen your stuff, and its top notch.

Tolex and Tweed covers up a lot of things including some not so great woodworking. I don't build my Trainwreck style cabs either. I leave that to a retired cabinet maker that I feel very fortunate to have found. There is no way that I could get those forty fives on the corners and even though you can leave the construction to someone else, you can still pick out the wood. Your dad's neighbor turned out a beautiful cab and I am sure you are very proud to show off his work. Please pass along my cudos to your dad's neighbor.

I am sure that sound is most important when talking about an amplifier, but, being a woodworker I have to admit a certain fondness for the visual.
Your Fathers friend did a great job. The fit and finish look very nice indeed. Is the wood cherry? It appears to be with some really nice figuring.

Hi distortion........I believe he rubbed the finish. I didnt see any spray rig in his garage where he was doing all the work. I wasnt actually present so I cant be sure, but there were some imperfections that looked like it wasnt sprayed to me. Too bad my pictures suck so bad, because in person this was a thing of beauty. I sold her on E-BAY a while back.......
