I wanted to see if I could replicate my recent retropolitan build with modern parts and bring the volume down a touch the results were ( stellar hehe ) super smooth with the clean to mean thing in spades.some of the parts choices were dictated by the trannys i had on hand but all modern stuff 5y3 (not enogh juice for a gz34) 6v6s 12at7 PI 12ax7 follower 5751 5 star in the front end. it has some nice cleans until 9 oclock or so then its just how dirty u want it, but playing with my les paul style guitar was awesome roll the volume back on the neck pickup and go from honey bunns to peanut brittle at the flip of a switch with no volume issues very smooth . Im calling it the po-boy for those of us in the cheap seats. Cheers
