Rocket layout for VVR - new version

Post by angelodp »

I have drawn up a layout over rj's last drawing from the Rocket Tweaks post for my VVR install. I have yet to pick a spot for the mosfet and the pot but I think I have the rest going ok. Please do let me know if this looks ok.
I am waiting for the VVR3 from Dana and will do the " whole amp " version.

With some help from Colossal... many thanks

thanks ange

It seems right, but when you'll connect the VVR use the following idea.
If you ordered the VVR Kit from Dana, you will have only to connect 3 wires: the ground, the input and the output suppy. it's like to have an extra standby switch:
- the input wire of the VVR comes from the standby switch
- the output wire of the VVR goes to the wires you disconncted form the standard standby switch.
In the parcel you will receive all instructions, otherwise ask them to Dana, he's very polite.

Changes made

Hi castor, thanks for the heads up, I changed the orientation on the wires as you suggested. With regard to the POT.... if i do not want to upset the front plate and decide to put the POT on the back of the amp, will long wire runs to the board be a problem??
