RJ, I've used the 3M reverse audio pot from weber for experimenting with a similar bass pot setup and it worked like a charm. I'm sure the CTS model would also work well.

As for the caps, I've seen pics of actual amps which use Spragues and others that use F&Ts, so there shouldn't be any big thing about using exact parts. I prefer F&Ts or Nichicons myself.

I recall Mark Fowler mentioning that the 3 Meg pots were hard to come by... my research tends to prove that to be true.
The Komet bass pot is linear, S taper. On Friday I ran up on a couple of NOS Clarostat's, they are marked 3MEG S which is the exact same pot in the KSW30. I'm going back to the well to see if there are more available.

I could only find 2.5mL S-taper Clarostat so I used that.

In the schematic, pots VR1 and VR2 are not labeled as to their function, but I am guessing VR2 is Volume, and should have its bottom-most terminal connected to GND, no? Is VR1 a tone control?

So I'm guessing both VR1 and VR2 should have their bottom-most terminal tied to GND.

Edit: Although, now that the photo came in (slow internet today), I see that the middle pot is the only one with a reference to GND :-) I'm guessing that one is VR2.

Yes, however the schematic does not show VR2 terminal 1 grounded.

Here is another view and you can see the ground wire on the volume pot.

Mark, are you sure cut is 250KA and not a KL? I tried blowing up that pic and comparing it to a PEC 250KL.

Mike, pretty sure the treble cut is 250kA same as on a TW Rocket and Komet 60 plus from a person that has been inside a Songwriter 30.

So, are you guys planning on going with PECs? It's been discussed a few times before about their drawbacks. To be exacting to a SW30, I can see it, but still wouldn't use them myself.
