LED Lighting
i know this is probably a silly question to most of you, seeing as how its cosmetic, but i was thinking of lighting the inside of the cabinet with LEDs, i had a Framus Cobra, and although the amp spoke for itself, i really liked how the amp lit up when you turned it on. it made it look more alive, i was wondering where i would be able to pull voltage to run a 2 or so feet of LEDs at 12v, and 100ma a foot

Re: LED Lighting
I ran my pilot light off 1 leg of the heater taps. I used a big 10mm LED that's really bright. In ran a 220R resistor in line to drop the current down to about 14 ma's.

Check out Valve Wizards book or the link here at http://www.freewebs.com/valvewizard2/OtherStuff.html for ideas.

Re: LED Lighting
Hobbs, the graph at the top of the page linked by Gee above is related to the question you were asking in another thread on partial bypass of cathode resistors to trim bass response. Also check out the first chapter of Merlin's book (available on that site), on common cathode gain stages for more info on that subject.
Re: LED Lighting
Biasing with led's is cool. You get different voltages with different colors.
