Just amazing, I even fwd'd it to a friend that doesn't play but appreciates nice woodwork. The corners are brilliant.

For the piping maybe something from the world of luthiery, not to mention all the little dremel bits, stands, and tricks they have for it:

Hi Tom,

I use a 33% mineral spirits rest boiled linseed oil. I dry sand 80/150/220 with an orbital and then wet sand with the linseed oil 320 and then 400. Hand rub oil until the wood spits it back.

I looked at StewMac - they didn't have the width I needed. They are one of my online - 'If I had that I could build....' - crack dealers.

So a real oil finish.

Looks amazing, like that flat finish as opposed to gloss.

Love it,Love the way you did the dovetails and the corners.Really cool!!!I have a place by me that sells african mohogany scraps.Im going to try one with that.Great work and a great thread ,Mikey
