Here is another version using an RFT in V2. Same bass as the first. Much different topend. Tonights clips will be much improved.....

Clip 2 is just the right improvement over ciip 1 IMO. Also, my personal experimentation has led me to much prefer that mic over the Shure. It eliminates the peak I can barely tolerate in a 57. I'm guessin' that's the bridge P.U.

If I say I don't like clip 3 will you keep them coming?
My favorite tone so far.

Cool tones! Would you mind sharing what the schematic is and what you are tweaking in the schem? I'm curious!

Thanks again guys... I stole 10 minutes to get into thebasement and do a clip 4. I put back the 47pf on the preod network. Nice difference!! I needed the fresh ears to tell me it needed the top end......

Once again, pardon playing.... Now onto the mic tests and paying more attention to the recording.....

Best yet - much better than the first one.

But does it sound better than a Zen into a clean Fender amp?

Something I can't define I don't like in three. Four is as mentioned best yet.

Not even close.... I have a Zen (my clips are on the Hermida site). Amp is much more open and dynamic. Especially in the room. Alf makes a great pedal for sure, though.

Thanks for the ears again. I get so burned out.

That last clip is great - I wish I could get a clip of you playing my Funk build for comparison.

I've tried these through the past few years. Some sound good, some sound REALLY shitty and some just stop working without warning. I just had V1 crap out at a rehearsal monday night and I didn't have a spare. I had to play for 2 hours through a POD into the PA.

I have heard a lot of your clips and and these to me sound like the highs, the very top of your spectrum, sounds a little fizzy instead of crisp and glassy like ueasual. bass on clip 4 is the best IMHO. I really like the playing homie.
