...here's Chuck D'Aloia playing a D'Lite HRM44 BM. Of course Chuck rocks and the video isn't hi-fi, but it should give you some idea of the tone.

Interesting, I would like to know what guitar was used and whether the PAB was on or off. The sound has some frequency content very reminiscent of Larry Carlton's "new" sound for the 90s, which can be heard in his SECOND instructional video and in a couple of recordings of shows that are floating around. Definitely way more agressive than his old, sweet Dumble tone. Funny how he got some of that golden tone back on "Sapphire Blue" but then lost it again. Either way, if this tone is indicative of the Blues Master PI, I like it with the HRM amp.dr. who wrote:I think that there are some clips up on the bludotone site of a hrm skyline w/ bluesmaster...

I was in the room and I've got to say these clips don't quite do that amp justice. It smoked !
A guitar should never sound like a bee, a duck or, a chainsaw (well sometimes a chainsaw is alright )
Re: For those of you who wanted to hear BM-style HRM clips...
I haven't really been following the information about the Dumble style amps that much because I didn't think that I was a big fan of that type of amp, and they seem very complicated...
That said , I LOVED the demo of Billy Yates and the Strat (Wow , that guy can play). I particularly like the sound of sustaining chords and double/triple stops...Great Demo

Re: For those of you who wanted to hear BM-style HRM clips...
+1 --- Billy Yates was rippin!! most of the time all the sound clips are more of jazz type players, which is ok,but i like to hear more than that.
Re: For those of you who wanted to hear BM-style HRM clips...
+1 on both clips and +1 these amps can do much more than RF and LC although if I could play like those guys I probably would not care about the other unsung abilities of these amps!Richie wrote:+1 --- Billy Yates was rippin!! most of the time all the sound clips are more of jazz type players, which is ok,but i like to hear more than that.
